Strengths

  • Dr. Kniazeva has the strongest named patient reputation in the clinic (verified reviews, success-after-failure narratives), though her current employment status is uncertain
  • Endocrinologist Teona Shvangiradze is the only staff member with a genuine academic track record (ResearchGate, Moscow National Endocrinology Center publications)

Concerns

  • EN and Georgian team rosters are inconsistent, 3 specialist pages are blank, and every practising fertility physician has zero PubMed publications
  • Embryologist Veniamin Kazarinov is the former head of embryology at GGRC — senior background the clinic does not disclose at all
  • Chinese site efclinic.cn is unreachable (timed out twice, 2026-07)

European Fertility Clinic — Tbilisi. Specialties: IVF, ICSI, PGT, Egg donation, Surrogacy. Independent ratings and reputation have not yet been verified by us; see Sources.

Quotation details (obtained by this site via e-mail, 2026-07)

Guaranteed package $73,000–75,000: clinic services $45,000 ($18,000 / $15,000 / $12,000 milestones) plus surrogate compensation $28,000–30,000 paid directly to the surrogate (no escrow). Unlimited donor-egg IVF and transfers until live birth; unusually granular surcharge and compensation schedule, incl. two capped insurance options (NICU 20 days $7,000; hospitalization 30 days $2,000). Key clause: with twins, the program counts as fulfilled if one baby survives. Full analysis and our open questions are in the Chinese edition.

Multi-platform reputation scan (2026-07)

Ownership lead (unverified as to equity): efclinic.ge was registered 2022-11-10 to "European Fertility Clinic LLC" (NIC.ge whois). The Russian mirror efclinic.ru is registered to Moscow-based OOO MedInServis (INN 7702415873) — the operating company of Moscow's Nova Clinic reproduction and genetics center; ef-clinic.com was registered via Russian registrar REG.RU with a Moscow +7 495 contact phone, all three domains share Fornex nameservers, and the efclinic.ge website template directory is literally named "nova_2020" (site source, Rusprofile, whois, checked 2026-07-03). Strong circumstantial evidence of a Nova Clinic (Moscow) connection; Georgian shareholder structure not publicly verified. Founding year still undisclosed; domain and site-asset timestamps suggest operations began around 2022–2023.

Russian platforms: Yandex Maps rating 4.7/5 (27 ratings, 9 reviews, checked 2026-07-03) — praise for modern facilities and Russian-speaking doctors; one negative review names Dr. Natalia Knyazeva for rudeness and upfront-payment demands, another (2025-12) criticizes chaotic scheduling. No entries found on otzovik/irecommend.

Dr. Knyazeva status: her specialist page on ef-clinic.com now returns 404 and she is absent from both the 11-doctor (GE/EN) and 15-doctor (RU) rosters; her personal site (doctorkniazeva.com) describes private practice in Georgia without mentioning EFC. She appears to have left the clinic (unverified) — confirm directly before signing if she matters to you.

English platforms: no Reddit/forum threads, complaints or lawsuits found. PlacidWay lists the guaranteed donor-egg surrogacy package at $45,000 — matching the clinic-services line of our quotation (i.e., excludes the $28,000–30,000 surrogate compensation).

Chinese platforms: the clinic runs an official Chinese-language site (efclinic.cn) and issues Chinese-language quotations, but no independent Chinese reviews or identifiable agency partners were found on Xiaohongshu/Zhihu/WeChat (checked 2026-07-03). Re-check 2026-07-07: efclinic.cn timed out on two fetch attempts and appears defunct or blocked.

Medical team verification (2026-07)

Formal disclosure is above average for Tbilisi (16+ staff with names, photos, profile pages, some licence numbers), but substance is thin: EN vs. Georgian rosters diverge, three profile pages are blank, and no practising fertility physician has a single PubMed publication. Highlights: Dr. Kniazeva (best named patient reputation; employment status uncertain — see above); Dr. Gugushvili (most on-site praise; ESHRE membership claimed only on the clinic's own domains; ZoomInfo suggests her main post is at EVEX hospital); embryologist Kazarinov (blank profile page, yet ZoomInfo shows he is GGRC's former head of embryology — undisclosed); embryologist Shagyrova (ex-Beta Plus, Kazakh MSc, verifiable via LinkedIn); endocrinologist Shvangiradze (only genuine academic track record). The clinic's 60 on-site reviews are all-positive curation. Net: good-looking disclosure, weak independent verification — consistent with the existing transparency score of 4.

Score revision (2026-07-08): see the Chinese profile's editorial note — reputation lowered 4.5→3.5 (reviews almost entirely from controlled channels; independent samples too small).
