Multi-platform reputation scan (2026-07)

Verified facts (2026-07-03): the operating legal entity is LLC "In Vitro Fertility Center" (ID 202462708, registered 2009-10-21, NAPR/BIA.ge); TEMOS accreditation confirmed in the TEMOS official partner directory under the name "In Vitro Fertilization Center" (secondary care). A Google Maps listing exists as "LTD LEADERMED invitro tbilisi": 4.0/5 from 48 reviews, sharply polarized. Recent reviews include a detailed five-star account (in Chinese) from a direct client whose surrogacy journey ran from Dec 2024 to a birth in late Jan 2026, and a serious one-star allegation (in Chinese, ca. Mar 2026) that the clinic withheld a newborn's birth documents over a debt owed to the Chinese agency Spread (思普乐), raised gamete storage fees from $30 to $50/month, and had its lawyer threaten to intercept the child at the border — a one-sided allegation with no public response from the clinic and no court record found. Local Georgian/Russian reviews repeatedly complain about multi-hour outpatient waits; the 4.0 rating also mixes reviews of the hospital's plastic-surgery and general-surgery departments, so it is not a pure fertility-care signal. No Reddit/forum patient threads, no Trustpilot/WhatClinic listings; Chinese social platforms (Xiaohongshu/Zhihu) show only agency promotional content, with agency claims (75% success, 7,000+ families) inconsistent with directory figures. Full detail in the Chinese edition.

Medical team and 2025 investigation context (2026-07)

Independent verification places LeaderMed's lead clinicians in Georgia's top academic tier: founder Prof. Natalia Khonelidze delivered ESHRE 2024 oral presentation O-300 affiliated to "Leadermed clinic" and has PubMed-indexed papers; IVF head Dr. Ludmila Barbakadze has 3+ PubMed papers and was first author on a 2024 ESHRE abstract. Both Khonelidze and Dr. Ketevan Kantaria also appear on the "medical team" page of the surrogacy agency Stork Service — physician cross-listing with agencies is common in Georgia and should not be read as agency medical capability. Compliance caveat: in the wake of the BabyCam egg-harvesting scandal, a March 2025 Georgia Today report named LeaderMed in connection with Thai egg donors described as held in "trafficking-style conditions", noting no Thai-language documents at the clinic and, when asked how donors' comprehension was verified, the answer "nobody verifies". Khonelidze denied coercion, saying "many clinics do this, but it's all voluntary". No charges or sanctions are on public record as of July 2026; we lowered the compliance score from 3.5 to 3 on this basis. The clinic's claim to Georgia's first IVF baby remains independently unverified.
