Quotation details (obtained by this site via e-mail, 2026-07)

Two official quotation PDFs (Digomi branch letterhead). Successful $51,000: $17,000 on signing (non-refundable) / $12,000 at week 12 / $22,000 at delivery; surcharges include twins +$3,000, C-section +$2,000, surrogate replacement +$2,500, PGT-A $450 per embryo, donor compensation $2,000–4,500. Guaranteed $75,000: $35,000 on signing (non-refundable) / $15,000 / $25,000, with twins, C-section and surrogate replacement included. Both tiers: NICU costs for premature birth are borne by intended parents with no cap. Includes sex selection — check legality in your home country. Full analysis and our open questions are in the Chinese edition.

Multi-platform reputation scan (2026-07)

Legal entity resolved: the international site silkmedicalclinic.com is operated by the same Georgian legal entity as the main site — "SILK Medical JSC", 5a Boris Paichadze St (per its privacy policy); Georgian directories list identification code 402192195, registration 2021-09-02 and head Ekaterine Tskhadaia (pending verification against the NAPR registry extract). Shareholders are not public. The group also runs a Yerevan, Armenia clinic (silkmedical.am) and quotes Georgia/Armenia surrogacy side by side on silk-medical.com — the Armenian "Successful" tier costs $53,000 vs $51,000 in Georgia; which entity signs Armenian contracts is not disclosed.

Reviews: Google reviews (via worldclinics.net) 4.3/77 for the Digomi branch; Yandex Maps 4.7 (78 ratings — negative themes: hidden fees and unbundled billing, e.g. a 2025-09 complaint about an unannounced 140-GEL charge); 100doc.ge lists 45 reviews for the main hospital with recent ones (Mar–Jun 2026) largely positive; WhatClinic 8.8/10 (42 interactions, unchanged); Batumi branch 3.7 on 2GIS (only 4 reviews, general-practice care — IVF remains Tbilisi-only). Recurring pattern: doctors praised, international coordination inconsistent — the same coordinator is called "incredible" in one review and "extremely rude, unhelpful" by a German IVF/surrogacy couple on madloba. Russian-language complaints (2026) concern billing disputes and front-desk attitude at general-practice branches, not the IVF department. "Silk Road Medical" (US device maker, NASDAQ: SILK) is an unrelated namesake.

Medical team verification (2026-07)

The website names 8 fertility physicians — above-average roster transparency (4th of 24 Georgian providers in our audit), with a distinct profile: mostly Russian/Ukrainian-trained doctors who relocated to Tbilisi around 2022. Independently corroborated: Oksana Sevostyanova (approx. 30 years, ex-medical director of Kyiv's MINI IVF, repeatedly praised by name) and Lusine Hechumyan (80+ independent patient reviews on Russian platforms — but concurrently listed at two Moscow clinics, SILK Yerevan and a Dubai provider, a "flying doctor" whose Tbilisi presence should be confirmed before booking). Embryologist Salome Mosidze self-discloses a concurrent role at Chachava Clinic. Self-reported only, zero independent records: IVF department head Nino Maisuradze — whose stated education differs by ~20 years between the website (TSMU 2010–16) and a third-party directory (1992–99), pending verification — plus Albert Irkaliev and Stella Dzotsenidze (self-styled professor, five-country practice, unverifiable).

Chinese-market channel (2026-07)

SILK is now the most heavily promoted Georgian clinic in Chinese agency channels: WeChat agency "YoMile ART" rebrands it as "SMC Royal Reproductive Center", runs Shanghai offline sales events, and quotes packages at RMB 460k–580k — far above the clinic's own $41k–75k price list — while claiming an unverifiable "41-clinic network, 86.8% transfer success rate, 17,000 babies" (advertorial figures; treat as marketing). No independent Chinese patient accounts exist. Clients going through agencies should verify whether the contract counterparty is the clinic's legal entity or the agency. The clinic's own marketing article "Surrogacy in Georgia in 2025: Still Legal, Still Safe" is widely cited in search results for the legal status — factually consistent with the withdrawn 2024 ban, but an interested-party source.

Verify yourself

  1. Have the contract reviewed by an independent lawyer (not one referred by the provider)
  2. Ask for live-birth rates by age bracket, not a headline “success rate”
  3. Request an itemised fee schedule; confirm currency and refund terms
  4. Confirm ownership, transfer and disposal terms for medical records and embryos

Q5.How does this site review SILK Medical?

Five independent 1–5 scores (compliance, medical quality, transparency, reputation, international accessibility) based only on public signals and third-party feedback; self-descriptions don't count toward objective items. We charge providers nothing. See the Methodology page.
