Multi-platform reputation scan (2026-07)

Case-tracking update. Legal status of the 2018 criminal probe (trafficking, forgery, tax evasion) remains ambiguous: The Dial (Jan 2025) reports charges were ultimately dropped after a case transfer (The Dial), while the POLITICO/WELT investigative team quotes Ukrainian investigators saying leadership escaped conviction through high-level political connections (Journalismfund). Newly documented controversies: the 2023 POLITICO/WELT joint investigation alleging embryo/baby mix-ups (including a DNA-confirmed swapped German baby), inadequate surrogate medical care and underpayment (POLITICO); OCCRP's Story Killers project linking BioTexCom's owner to the Eliminalia reputation-laundering network and to property-fraud allegations, with a manager's trial postponed by the 2022 invasion (OCCRP). Italy's Law 169/2024 (in force 3 Dec 2024) makes surrogacy abroad a "universal crime" for Italian citizens — a direct legal risk for BioTexCom's largest documented client market, which the clinic continued to court via its Italian-language site and social media. Wartime operations continue: hundreds of pregnant surrogates at the invasion's start, official Facebook still active in 2025. Chinese channels: the official Chinese site biotexcom.cn remains live (WeChat biotexcomchina23, current package prices EUR 39,900/49,900/64,900, VIP still including two unproven "mitochondrial replacement" attempts) and actively markets an Almaty (Kazakhstan) branch to Chinese clients; no independent Chinese user accounts found after 2024. Trustpilot direct access was blocked (HTTP 403) at re-verification; cached results show polarized reviews through Aug 2025.

Verify yourself

  1. Have the contract reviewed by an independent lawyer (not one referred by the provider)
  2. Ask for live-birth rates by age bracket, not a headline “success rate”
  3. Request an itemised fee schedule; confirm currency and refund terms
  4. Confirm ownership, transfer and disposal terms for medical records and embryos
  5. If possible, visit the clinic, lab and ward in person before signing
