Multi-platform reputation scan (2026-07)

Astghik is a large multi-specialty hospital (30 departments), so most public reviews concern surgery, cardiology, maternity and ER rather than the Armenian-Israeli reproductive medicine department (opened 2018). On Yandex Maps the hospital holds 4.8/5 (1,142 ratings, 129 written reviews, re-checked 2026-07-04); praise focuses on modern facilities and surgeons, while recurring complaints cite 2h+ waits, confusing navigation and unclear billing. Reviews specific to the fertility department are scarce: one negative review (2025-08-22) alleges arrogant doctors, lost test results and opaque billing in the reproductive medicine unit, while a 2023 review thanks a named reproductologist. Facebook shows roughly 1,054 reviews with an 84% recommendation rate; no Trustpilot or WhatClinic listings exist; Reddit and international surrogacy forums show no independent patient accounts. Ownership: the hospital is operated by Natali Pharm LLC, controlled by businessman and former MP Samvel Aleksanyan, and was named after his mother; in June 2018 tax authorities found the hospital had under-reported staff numbers and wages, leading to roughly 38 million AMD (about USD 78,000) in additional income tax paid (Arminfo) — a governance issue at hospital level, not a clinical one. On Chinese platforms there are no independent patient posts; one Chinese-language agency page advertises a "guaranteed live birth" donor-egg surrogacy package at EUR 47,900 via Astghik, a claim the hospital itself does not publish and which we could not verify. The clinic's self-reported JCI accreditation still could not be confirmed in JCI's public directory as of 2026-07-04.
